GardenSite

GardenSite is a charming single family Queen Anne brownstone in Park Slope, Brooklyn that was built circa 1910. The lovely garden patio borders the neighbor’s backyard, making it appear even larger. At the home’s entry, a bay window houses a grand piano that is used in fashion shoots by many New York photographers. A stairwell rises next to the living room. The walls are beige with white trim. The dark green velvet couch and matching leather chairs sit on a classic oriental carpet next to the gray fireplace.

This home is a quintessential spot for a fashion shoot by a New York photographer. There is little that a prop stylist would need to transport to the shoot, as the amenities are all here. Five foot high wainscoting encircles the dining room with a wood-paneled, built-in wall. The Frank Lloyd Wright style dining table can seat eight to ten in Mies Bruns leather and chrome chairs. An elegant series of inverted cones light the space. There is a beige rug and a second fireplace that is made of bright red tile. Below are exceptional parquet floors. You will also find a long white kitchen with matching ceramic floors and a marble table. The wall oven and dishwasher are black.

Upstairs is a stunning state-of-the-art home theater with a white, electric screen. Prospect Park is in walking distance. After completing their indoor shots, many European and New York photographers resume their fashion shoots in the park.
